Understanding The Riddle:
A powerful form of deception utilized by the professional liar.
One of the most powerful forms of deception is
what I call, "the riddle". Riddles are utilized by professional liar.
The professional liar is not someone who just blatantly blurts out false
information that can be easily discovered to be untrue, but rather they utilize
far more sophisticated techniques to achieve their deception. The professional
liar knows that they are not going to win people over to their false argument,
however they can settle for the next best thing - which is to confuse people
about the truth. It definitely is a compromise, but it is a lot better option
rather than being exposed as a deceiver, or allow the
truth to win. The riddle, is one of these high tech
devices that are designed to achieve one goal:
"If
you can not win them, confuse them"
When people are confused, or the clarity of a
situation has become blurred... then the profession liar has achieved his/her
goal. Destroy the clarity of the truth in the minds of the people. So, what may
to have appeared to be a clear cut issue... is all of a sudden confusing and
may lead people to exert caution or lay aside a specific issue.
The professional liar knows they are unable to
refute the truth, therefore, using riddles to confuse
people about the truth is the next best option. Here are some examples of
riddles:

The following are some tips on how to respond
to riddles:
ü Make it clear that you have no idea what your opponent is
talking about, then turn to the audience and ask them what the heck is your
audience is talking about. When the audience shows clear signs of confusion,
then you have exposed his tactic.
ü Make it clear to your audience that your opponent is
trying to be vague and confusing *intentionally*. He is trying to confuse
everyone about a very simple issue.
ü Demand further clarification. Clearly say, “I have no idea
what you are talking about!” “You are speaking jiberish!”
Demand that your opponent slowly and clearly explain in detail what exactly is
their argument.
ü Proceed to refute the argument upon clarification.
